Learnt how to use the Eclpise program for today, indeed i learnt something new today. However, i really am confused at the rate the lecturer is going about teaching the basics of the program. Here i was, trying to install the program[which comes in 3 different zip files separately] and there she was going through the swing components. D:

and left me into complete frenzy-ness cause i had no freaking clue what’s going on. geez.

communication skills lessons was rather enjoyable though i just feel that time is going on a snail speed bias and usually it’s when times like this, lessons tend to be boring.

and i finally have time to spare to watch Get Rea![although it was a repeat telecast, and i finally reminded myself to watch it] today cause i was told that they will be talking about the Odex saga and one of the local anime blogger zer0 is also being interviewed about his thoughts towards this particular issue.[ever since he attracted 4 riot police buses due to the photo taking session of the mini figurine protest against Odex]

it is impressive for him to do that, cause i will never do that even i was one of the enraged anime fans. i failed as a proclaimed fangirl. anyways, i digress. >_>
there’s was also other 2 more people who also got interviewed as well, but they were the ones who had received the holy letter. Obviously they arent very happy about it and was mentioning about things that had been raised repeatedly again and again in the forums. [but then again, probably they got interviewed long ago so i cant really comment much =x]

but overall Get Rea! is rather interesting, cause not only the odex fiasco is being mentioned, there’s also about how many surveillance cameras do we actually have stored in our tiny island[it’s quite a stunning number, though i cant remember much about the figures x_x]

watched Minami-ke today, the 3 sisters got me roaring in laughter. While looking upon at Kana’s weird and strange actions in the anime, reminded me of Morita in Honey & Clover, i couldnt help but to agree that she’s like the female version of him itself.

and lols, Chiaki is a zettai ryouiki grade A user. LOLWIN!

got obessed to Taiko Drums DS lately as my beloved da jie decided to lend this bored indivual her DS due to the loong mrt trip to the destination where our class gathering is held.

and whatdaya know, i had no idea how long i played but i managed to make thru the seventh rank[i think] and accomplished almost all the songs in full combo mode

which is nothing to be proud of, cause what i was playing was the beginner’s stage. mwaha, u may laugh at me now. LOL

pps: GEEZ. Odex’s Haruhi was said to be copied wholesale from a.f.k subs, not too sure about it and not very interested into checking it out as the chinese dub itself suffice a reason to turn me off from this entire series.

Kyon’s dubbed voice is teh horrendous. nowhere near the sarcasm tone[probably it was just me being skeptical] FAILED

Mikuru’s one…hmm, seriously it wasnt that bad until the scene where u see her speaking through the microphone as well as shouting her lungs out for the sale of cabbages. the tone was EXACTLY the same. ZOMG. FAAAIILLLED.

Yuki’s came the worst of all dubbed voices. I can somewhat “feel” that this particular dubber[err…is that even such a word here?] is trying to fit into Yuki’s deadly silence character but ended up screwing the whole thing up as her voice tends to wobble and cause the voice turned out to be off-tone. MOAR FAIL

Itsuki’s, hmm…it sounded rather GAR. LOL

as for Hauhi, geez, some parts JUST never sound right. FAIIILLLEEEDDD

all these leads to me a conclusion, why bother to have other language dubs when you can enjoy the show more better in original dubs? true, maybe because of the language barrier. but meh, me thinks dubs really ruined the show and thus make it more uninteresting. sadly, Channel 56 only allows Chinese dub, that means im not watching anymore.

as for buying…will buy if they include the original dubs in it. if not, then ah wells. ;p

to me, i sense a huge arrogance air all around China guys that i have met. it’s like, true you can flaunt your new English terms and let others know how a pro u can be but cant u learn a decent bit of humbleness?

Geeks and Nerds as boyfriends.

In the wide world of dating, there are many options. Do you go for the flashy guy with the smooth smile, or the dude in the corner typing away on his laptop? The following are reasons why I think my fellow females should pay more attention to the quiet geeks and nerds, and less attention to the flashy boys.

1.) While geeks and nerds may be awkward, they’re well-meaning 9 out of 10 times. That smooth dude with the sly grin and the spider hands? Wonder what HIS intentions are… plus, I’ve never had a geek guy not call me when he said he would. Score major points THERE.

2.) They’re useful. In this tech-savvy world, it’s great to have a b/f who can make your laptop, desktop, and just about anything else that plugs into a wall behave itself.

3.) They’re more romantic than they’re given credit for. Ok true, their idea of romance might be to make up a spiffy web-page with all the reasons why they love you, with links to pics of you and sonnets and such… but hey. It lasts longer than flowers, plus you can show your friends.

4.) Due to their neglected status, there are plenty to choose from. You like ‘em tall and slender? There are plenty of geeks/nerds who are. You like ‘em smaller with more meat on their bones? Got that too.

5.) They’ve got brains. Come on now, how can intelligence be a bad thing?

6.) Most are quite good at remembering dates. Like birthdates and such, especially if they know it’ll make you happy. Due again to their neglected status, they’re more attentive than guys who “have more options”. Plus, with all that down time without a steady girlfriend, they’ll likely have mental lists of all the things they’d love to do once they GOT a girlfriend.

7.) Sex. Yep. Sex. I’m not really familiar with this myself, but I’ve friends who’ve been intimate with geek guys and it’s raves all around. They say a virgin wrote the Kama Sutra… all that time thinking about sex, imagining sex, dreaming about sex, (they are male after all) coupled with a desire to make you happy? Use your imagination.

8.) They’re relatively low-maintenance. Most can be fueled on pizza, Twinkies and Mt Dew. No complicated dinners needed here, so if you’re not the best cook, eh. Can you order a pizza?

9.) Most frequent bars as often as slugs frequent salt mines. You won’t have to worry much about your geek guy getting his “groove” on with club hotties because, frankly, he’ll be too busy rooting around under his computer wondering where that spare cable went. You won’t have to worry about him flirting with other women because, 9 out of 10 times, he’ll zip right by them in a perfect b-line towards the nearest electronics store. I’ve seen this happen.
Me: “Eww. Victoria Secret’s Models… They’re so skinny. How is that feminine? You can see her ribs!”
Geek Guy: “ooooooo…”
Me: “Hey!” *notices he is staring lustfully towards the computer store*
Geek Guy: “What?”
Me: “Never mind…”

10.) Although he may not want to go to every outing with you, you can arrange swaps, as in, you’ll go to his Gamer Con dressed as an elf princess if he’ll take you to the ballet. Plus, if he doesn’t want to go someplace with you, you won’t have to worry much about what he’s up to. You’ll probably come home to find him asleep on his keyboard in a sea of Mt. Dew cans with code blinking from the screen. It’s ok. He’s used to this. Just toss a blanket over him and turn out the light.

11.) His friends aren’t jerks. I can’t stress this enough. You’ll more likely get “Omg! A GIRL!! Can I see?!” than “Hey hot stuff back that ass up here and let me get some grub on…” They’re awkward geeks too and will, 9 times out of 10, treat you with the utmost respect and, more than likely, a note of awe. A cute girl picked one of their clan to date? It could happen to them! Hope! Drag some of your single girlfriends over, open up a pack of Mt. Dew, crack open the DnD set and get working. Nothing impresses geek guys more than a girl who can hack-n-slash (well ok maybe if she can code… a geek can dream).

12.) They’re rarely if ever possessive. They trust you, so you can be yourself around them. You like to walk around the house in a ratty t-shirt for comfort? He won’t care. He does too! They won’t get pissy if you don’t wear make-up or don’t want to bother primping your hair. If you gain a few pounds, they won’t try their best to make you feel like crap.

13.) They’re usually very well educated. Physics majors and the like. See #5. You won’t have to listen to him blathering on about his car (ok maybe a little), he’ll have loads of other interesting things to talk about. Politics, world events, how much the chicken burgers down at the local place rock, so long as you douse them in hot sauce…

14.) You’ll almost never have to hear, “Yaw dawg whazzap!!” plop out of their mouths. Unless it’s in jest. They spell properly, use correct punctuation, and are able to tell the difference between the toilet and the floor. They almost never get “wasted”, so you won’t have to worry about coming home to find him and his friends passed out on the floor amidst a pile of beer bottles. Mt. Dew cans, perhaps…

15.) And the final reason why geeks and nerds make great boyfriends: They actually give a damn about you. Not how you look (though that’s a plus), not how skinny you are, not how much make-up you primp yourself up with, but they like you for you. That kind of thing lasts longer than “DaMN baby you got a fine ass!!!” Believe me.

Teacher’s Day Celebration[erm, which i know it’s VERY late]

haven been updating for a while cause im a little too lazy to update and besides, a great influx of nice tv shows is up lately, so yea. I’m glued to the tv…LOL

ah hmm, anyways, been real busy as well[no, aside for the recent addiciton for tv shows] went for the dreaded teachers’ day celebration[as per norm, i never liked the performance performed by the students, cause it looked very cliche for me…or, well, it’s just me feeling this way] which turned out pretty good than i expected, cause i get to hang out the only favourite place of my sec school, which is no other than the art room no.2.

ar, the memories.

i can still remember the struggle put in me when rushing my art coursework[cant blame anyone for my procrastination, yea? ;D] and despite the last min i got some infections in my body, i managed to rush all of them through and hand in them all in time[it’s contaiguous that, my friend whom helped me then is suffering this last min illness, and she is also rushing to hand her coursework now, uber lawlz]

the smell of the wooden chairs, the smell of the paint which lingers amongst the room feels nostaglic upon stepping in the room after a couple of months of not returning back to school. I was welcomed by the usual smirk by my art teacher, Mr Leong as well a vibrant wave of hand by Hui Min.

well, im back was what i thought to myself.

Mr Leong isnt really any normal teacher, yes, he’s a crazy one at that. You haven hear me wrong, because he’s the one who kept preaching us during in art lessons to think crazily, culitvate our brain to think crazy. haiz, the mind of the artist.

and that thought spurs in most of us, and that’s the reason why we managed to gain such a good score and teacher is pleased as well. so, yea, im pretty grateful of him, beacause not only he’s my art teacher, but often double-served like some life mentor that taught us some meaning of life.

well, excuse me while i get some tissues to dry my tears.
